Parish of Saint Michael the Archangel

The Parish of St Michael the Archangel will be starting a Garden Ministry. The purpose of the Garden Ministry is to assist with making the church grounds look beautiful, maintain and control weed growth, upkeep the outdoor statues and to enjoy fellowship with other parishioners who have the same interest, “digging in the dirt.”

          Gardening at the church is an excellent way for you to improve your physical and mental well-being. When you spend time in the garden, you're not just tending to plants; you're also getting a healthy dose of physical activity, which can help reduce stress and improve your mood. As you dig, plant, and weed, you engage in a form of exercise that can enhance your strength, flexibility, and endurance.

 

          Additionally, being outdoors and connecting with nature provides a sense of peace and relaxation. Appreciating the beauty of nature in your garden can also foster a deeper connection with God, providing moments of spiritual reflection and gratitude.
